Text:  Glencoe Pre-Algebra

Overview:   We are in a very unique situation!  Because there is no "7th Grade Advanced Math" framework from the MS Dept. of Education, we generally "jump in and out" of 8th grade math and pre-algebra curriculums.  Depending on the students' willingness and abilities, we sometimes go outside those courses into more advanced topics.  Most of these topics are found in the textbook.  We are very lucky to have the Glencoe text, because it suits our course perfectly.  

But remember, this is NOT pre-algebra!!!

Taking Advanced Math does not automatically place your child in 8th grade Algebra I.  

Algebra I placement factors: MCT scores, Adv. Math grades, placement test score

Grading Policy:
Quizzes, Daily, Homework: 50%
Tests: 50%
